英國教育監管機構 (Ofsted -Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills ), 經過最新一輪 Schools Inspections, 檢查超過 500 間屬於Outstanding Rating 的公立學校, 評估報告稱有 300 多間學校被降級 from Outstanding to Good.

在英國 3400 多間 Outstanding 中,小學校中, 最新一輪 Ofsted Inspections, 500間 Outstanding 學校 were reinspected.

監管機構 Ofsted 表示, 在上一學年 (2021-2022) 重新檢查了 500 多間之前獲得豁免於定期檢查的學校 (these schools were exempted from regular inspections), 原本被評為優秀 Outstanding Schools. Ofsted 表示, 在 370 間接受分級檢查的學校中, 只有 17% 的學校在 2021-2022 學年能夠保持優異的成績.

許多受豁免學校已經超過13年沒有被檢查 (many exempted outstanding schools last inspection was over 13 years ago). 經檢查後, 62%被降級為 Good Rating, 21%被降級為 Require Improvement(17%) or Inadequate(4%).

“The exemption was a policy founded on the hope that high standards, once achieved, would never drop, and that freedom from inspection might drive them even higher. These outcomes show that removing a school from scrutiny does not make it better.” Chief Inspector, Amanda Spielman. 

“To ensure parents can have confidence in these ratings, Ofsted is continuing its mission to inspect every school in the country by summer 2025, meaning parents will have an up-to-date assessment of their child’s school.”
